FireCapture Help

On the following pages you will find a short overview about the main functions and features of FireCapture. For a quick help you can always select the small question mark icons  in the application, it will open the related help page in a new window.

FireCapture isn't intended to be just one more of those capture tools.  It has been developed with the main focus on realtime-processing with functions like auto-aligning, live-debayering or pre-filtering. Even I put a lot of work in enhancing performance as much as the underlying Java architecture permits I strongly recommend a fast computer (DualCore or similar). If you just want to capture data in the field using your old laptop you better look for faster capture tools - you won't be happy with FireCapture.

Configuration
Some of the features of FireCapture are configurable using startup-properties of the related ini file (FireCapture.ini) located in the root-directory of FireCapture. Most entries will be stored automatically using the settings dialog. The following document explains  the available command line options and properties.

User interface
The graphical user interface with the various controls and functions is divided into two main panels in FireCapture. The horizontal panel on the top area contains camera control and capture functions, the vertical panel on the rightmost corner contains options and data details. Those two panels are draggable using the mouse (left-click and drag). The functions of the related sub-panels are listed in the following documents. For a quick help click the small question mark icons  in the application:
